Shoppers have one more week to join Tanger Outlets The Walk in Atlantic City in supporting efforts to end breast cancer and get some nice discounts in the process.
The 21st annual Tanger PinkSTYLE campaign, which continues through Oct. 25, offers shoppers 25% Off Pink Cards, five for $5. Each can be used to save 25 percent on a single item at participating stores at the outlets. The cards and passes are good through next Saturday.
Proceeds from the Pink Cards will benefit the Ruth Newman Shipiro Cancer Heart Fund and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. and Canada to bring awareness and raise much needed funds for breast cancer research and prevention,” Steven B. Tanger, president and CEO of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, said in a statement. “We remain committed to supporting these important organizations that are helping further educate women on prevention and hopefully will find a cure to a disease that has affected so many women and families.”
This year, the American Cancer Society estimates more than 295,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States alone. More than 800 women are diagnosed each day, and breast cancer is the
second leading cause of cancer related deaths in women across the nation.
Since 1994, Tanger Outlet Centers has contributed more than $13.5 million to breast cancer research through the PinkSTYLE Campaign, 5K races, Pink Partini Events and other breast cancer related fundraising events across the country. In 2013, the company raised $1.5 million during PinkSTYLE.
